How Much Should I Give?

The Bible says that every believer should give a minimum of 10% of their income, or a tithe, to their local church. Anything over the 10% is called an offering and is a way to honor God through giving sacrificially.

Getting Started with Automated Giving

Automating your giving is one of the best ways to develop faithfulness into your stewardship of what God has given you. At Crosslink we don’t view online giving as a replacement to the Sunday morning offering. It’s just another avenue to build faithfulness into your giving. We believe that faithfulness in your giving is part of becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ONLINE GIVING: CROSSLINK encourages responsible financial stewardship. We ask that you do not use credit cards to make online donations -- we prefer that you use your debit card!

Our online giving is through Paypal. It’s safe, simple and secure: all you’ll need are a few minutes to go through the process. Because we are passionate about people being debt free we do not encourage you to use credit. We would prefer you to use your card as a debit draft from your account.

What does the Bible say about Giving?

The Bible says more about giving than Heaven, prayer, or even faith! Here’s just a sample of what God says about giving:

1) Faithful giving draws me closer to God.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21

2) Faithful giving is the key to a full life.
“They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.”
1 Timothy 6:18-19

3) Faithful giving blesses me in return.
“Bring the full tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.” Malachi 3:10

4) Faithful giving makes me happy.
“…..It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

5) Faithful giving reminds me that everything belongs to God.
“You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18
